We have eaten at Cody’s in New Braunfels at least a dozen times. We would not keep going back if we did not like the food, service or atmosphere. Great happy hour food and drink specials. Servers and bar tenders have always been very, very nice! On multiple occasions we have been offered free samples of drink specials from the bar tenders or our server. Yes, Cody’s is a casual/fine dining restaurant. Waiters are not wearing tux’s, but be prepared to pay more for a steak than you would at Saltgrass. There are plenty of entrees for most price ranges and the chef is as imaginative as talented. I have read several of the negative reviews and folks mostly seem to think they were eating at Krauses or Muck and Fuss. Yea you will pay more than you would pay at those restaurants. Their menu is available online, so be prepared or don’t go! Also contrary to most of those negative reviews, there are not a ton of up scale or even nice/casual restaurants in New Braunfels. Cody’s is not the least nor the most expensive option available in the downtown area. If you want to give the kitchen a test run, go during their happy hour. Happy hour specials run every day the restaurant is open.

Cody's is a hidden gem, perfect for a delightful evening with friends and family. After a fun round of bowling in the area, we were thrilled to discover this cozy spot just a short walk away. From the moment we stepped in, the attentive staff made us feel like VIPs, ensuring our large group was well taken care of. The good was phenomenal and everyone was served at the same time. The personal touch from the owner, who took the time to greet us and ensure our experience was nothing short of exceptional, truly made our visit memorable. It's rare to find such warmth and hospitality in a small town, making Cody's a standout destination. Without a doubt, I'll make it a point to return whenever I'm in the area, eager to savor another wonderful dinner experience.

Amazing food! Great service, and rooms with different atmospheres. We had the Tuna Brie appetizer (more ingredients than yellow fin tuna and cheese) the flavors paired wonderful and was a great start 10/10. I had the Beef Wellington as my main course, it was my first time having that and it did not disappoint 10/10. For dessert I had the creme brulee...absolutely perfect 10/10. Service was spectacular! She was very knowledgeable about the menu and made excellent recommendations. Will be back!

Be ready to spend a pretty penny on this place but it is so worth it! Our server Anyssa was very friendly very informative and very helpful. You can tell she enjoys her job at Cody’s and she cares about her customers. She was awesome! Our drinks were always full and she checked on us a lot. The food was some of the best food I’ve ever had!!!! I ordered the halibut and it was the best thing ever and I added scallops because they pair well together and the scallops were amazing. We will definitely be back!!

We had the yellowtail brie appetizer, beef wellington, and duck breast. I've had beef wellington at another very famous establishment, and the one here was better. The appetizer was wonderful, and the duck breast with brussels sprouts was equally as good. I haven't even mentioned yet how personalized the service was. The bartender was friendly and engaging, and Cody was attentive and helping out all the staff. We truly enjoyed our date night here. 10/10 recommend. I took a photo of my drink "strawberry letter". The food was so good I forgot to take a photo.
